Banana bread may be served at tea time or at breakfast, although there is no rule as to when you may eat it. This banana bread recipe turns out really well in a bread maker and it's a great way to to get rid of overripe bananas sitting in the bowl. In our family nobody touches bananas if the skin has any sign of black. I guess we all worry that they are spoiled. So, rather than wasting them, into the bread maker they go.

I have to think that people perhaps make alterations to the recipe or don’t follow the instructions (even if they *think* they did). Yes. Bread machine banana bread is a sweet quick bread. Quick breads are muffin-like “breads” made with baking soda and/or baking powder. When the bread machine has finished baking the bread, unplug the bread machine, remove the bread pan and place it on a wooden cutting board. Let the bread stay within the bread loaf container for 10 minutes before you remove it from the bread loaf container. Use oven mitts when removing the bread machine container (bread loaf pan) because it will be very hot!
